Lance Montalto Cajun People’s Court
Lance Montalto Cajun People’s Court from the Comedy Zone at the Sports Rock Cafe in the mid 90′s.
From Lance’s MySpace page:
I was wrapped in swaddling clothes as a child and laid in a manger. I help my step-father Joe with his carpentry business until the age of 13 when I came into my own. I enjoyed speaking to the multitudes and created a pretty good following until the age of 33, where they took advantage of me and hung me out to dry. POLITICIANS!!!

12-string Guitar: Jambalaya
The following information comes from a site under the title: ‘Jambalaya Lyrics – cajun interpretation, history by Clarence’ which can be found at: http://www.cajunradio.org/wordscajun3.html
“Jambalaya (On the Bayou)” is a song credited to American country music singer Hank Williams that was first released in 1952. Named for a Creole and Cajun dish, jambalaya, it spawned numerous cover versions and has since achieved popularity in a number of music genres. With a melody based on the Cajun song “Grand Texas”, some sources, including Allmusic, claim that the song was co-written by Williams and Moon Mullican, with Mullican uncredited but receiving ongoing royalties. Other sources claim that this was one of several songs which Williams purchased from other writers; a practice that was relatively common at the time. Released in 1952, crediting Williams as the sole author of the jambalaya lyrics, it was performed by Williams as a country song. It reached number one on the U.S. country charts for fourteen non consecutive weeks.
(Btw, the hat was bought recently for a hoe-down gig I should have been playing at, but in the event I was unable to attend as I spent the night in hospital after a particularly unpleasant bout of illness from which I am fully recovered now thankfully.)
