@CountArtha they were some of the sharpest swords ever made thats 4 sure, but no1 could ever no THE sharpest swords ever made. nd dont dont really see y people think they were so superior to european styled swords… both did there respected jobs very very well. i love both the knights and samurai as both were noble and honorable men that this piece of shit, self absorbed world could learn a thing or two from!

@CountArtha Katanas were lighter, stronger, better at slicing, & were truly works of art. I dare say the Japanese understood metallurgy a bit better than their European counterparts as the (outer) carbon steel for Katanas was vastly more superior. Also most of the medevil swords were designed to stab & hack. This resulted in a long heavy sword as slicing does nothing against chain mail & the medevil Europeans were not to keen in the martial arts.
